Today I woke up and decided to go straight out to the shed instead of heading out to the office first, because the shed site is about 5min away from my house, whereas the office is about 15min away from my house. I figured I would save some gas and save some money.
We worked all day on the shed again, which was cool because the entire crew came out to the site, but it was also really hot and we didn't seem to make a lot of progress again. I don't know what it is about this job, but it is really taking forever.
One of the highlights of my day was when we were cleaning up the site, after most of the crew had let, and I ended up having a really good conversation with two guys I work with-- kels and david. I don't really remember how the conversation got started but one of the guys made a comment about how I was "with Jesus", and I told them that's true!
After I confirmed that statement, Kels started talking about how he was supposed to go to church every Sunday 'cause he promised his mom that he would, while David started talking about how his dad is Mormon and he grew up off the Rez. We continued to talk about religion, God, and Lakota spirituality as I gave them a ride back to the office, which was such a sweet time for me! God was completely in that, and it was so cool to see how he was working!
For the rest of the day after work, I basically sat around the house working on some stuff. I think I really needed the night to chill and just relax, so I was really glad I took that time for myself. Tomorrow I'll be back on my game, and I'll have the energy to do a bunch of sweet stuff, even after work!
